CO-OP Career Starting Grid Misplacement

While playing CO-OP Career, I keep having this issue at certain tracks. The issue: after qualifying the starting positions are wrong for me and the other player, we usually start from 1&2, but qualify where ever. Sometimes the other player is on p1 and I am where I qualifyed, if we head to mainmenu, and go back to race, he is still p1 and I then get set to 2p. I am host, and we make sure I do every action before him. We are halfway through the sexond season, it has happaned all the time on China both Sprint and Race, Spa both Sprint and Race.
