Adding something here:
I've noticed that they are getting their driver numbers assigned from formula 2, which makes it even less realistic because it goes from 1-22 and so many numbers are not available du to either being taken (4,5,6,(7),10,12,14,16,18,22) , reserved (1,2,3,11,20) or not given out (like number 17).
But also on "My Team", the second driver always chooses the number "99" which does make sense in some way, is it realistic tho? Nope, absolutely not. Idk how it is with the F3 drivers or other Icons tho.
In my opinion this more than just annoying and mega unrealistic. Why don't make it realistic and just give them a number that isn't one of them. Just saying, you could ask the F2 drivers too what they would choose if they had a chance to get into F1, what their number would be for more realism.
