Downshift not registering (bug)

Downshifts are seemingly not registering on my Thrustmaster TMX. I’ve tried my wheel with other games and the paddle works just fine, even in the “test button” menu the game detects my inputs just fine but when on the track the downshifts are either not detected or will downshift more than I mean to. It’s not a wheel issue it’s an issue with the game.
