big bug, game not starting. install via steam, not starting

Is there any new info on this issue? I see the thread is tagged as "Needs Info", so I'm happy to message privately to try and figure out what the problem may be, as I understand this thread is probably quite chaotic to read by now. It seems to be a highly reported issue across both Steam and EA forums.
I too am willing to do this. Really want to play F125 but can't. Can play F124 just fine.
