Codemasters TeamHey folks - apologies that you've been experiencing this. I raised this with the team since yesterday's Driver Ratings update and we've identified what's causing it. In the meantime, user MaxBsch1905 shared a workaround that may help:
- Have both players join the Two-Player Career session as normal
- Once both players are on the Driver Ratings update screen, have one player (Player 1) leave the session and restart the game, leaving the other (Player 2) to stay on the Driver Ratings update screen and select 'Update'
- Have Player 1 re-join Player 2's session. Player 1 should then be greeted with the regular Career menu
- Player 2, who is still waiting on the Driver Ratings screen, can now leave, restart the game, and join Player 1's active Career session
- If this does not work, repeat the process but reverse the order of who leaves and rejoins.
It's a messy workaround but hopefully this will help get things back up and running for you.
This kind of workaround is honestly a joke. For an €80 game, it’s unacceptable to be told to go through such a convoluted process just to make basic features work and to top it off, the method doesn’t even work. Every update seems to break something new, and it’s ruining the experience. Fix the game properly this isn’t what we paid for. Have a good day (better than me)
