F1 25 co op broken (Workarounds)

Why cant i move passed the new driver ratings update with i accept the email and accept it in the co op career? It just bugs out and doesnt do anything and i can no longer play co op which is very frustrating. I have to close the game to even be able to get back to the main screen and play a different game mode.

Hey folks - the team are still continuing to investigate this. However, there has been another pair of workarounds shared by some users. Their steps are as follows:

  1. Both players join their Two-Player Career session as usual
  2. One player (Player 1) stays on the Driver Ratings update screen in the Two-Player Career session
  3. The other player (Player 2) force-closes F1 25 and re-loads back into the game leaving Player 1 to stay on the Driver Ratings update screen
  4. Player 2 loads back into the game and applies the update via the in-game mail (top-right corner of the F1 25 main menu)
  5. Player 2 then joins the active Two-Player Career session that Player 1 is waiting in
  6. Player 2 should then be greeted with the regular Two-Player Career mode screen
  7. Player 1 then follows the same steps as Player 2 (close game, re-open, apply Driver Ratings from in-game Mail, join the active session), with Player 2 staying in the Two-Player Career session

I understand this may be a little confusing but I hope this will get you back and playing soon.

    Maybe there should be processes to make sure it doesn't happen in the first place. You're a mega corporation and can't make sure something like this doesn't happen? Surely you have QA or contingency plans for situations like this. How can you not be ready to hotfix such a small issue, literally just disable the updates for 2 player career or something while you work on it within your ''processes''. It doesn't matter how, just try to make it playable in some way, it's absolutely unacceptable that a game for 70 dollars, a reskin of the last game nonetheless, is left in an unplayable state for 2 weeks and you excuse the lack of initiative with processes... If your processes were working this wouldn't be an issue in the first place! It's the weekend and I want to play tonight with my friend! The disrespect and lack of care is astounding. If you have a patch for Monday then surely you can speed it up a little and let people play on a Saturday evening, it would show initiative and maybe even repair some of the damage done to customer relations. It surely cannot be such a financial burden that it's not worth getting some of the good PR back, making a post on Twitter about you pushing the update sooner due to customer complaints and as a show of goodwill and frankly, I think it's the bare minimum you can do to at least show an ounce of care for the people buying your products... I'm sorry that you're the one that has to deal with this, I know it's not your fault and I don't mean this personally, so please don't take it that way, I know you're just doing your job and I'm not attacking you. I'm well aware you're not the problem, EA is. Don't bother with corpo talk, I'm past that and have been for over half a decade with how we're treated, just please help with getting the message along and hopefully get things moving.

    Heroes do not work for EA, we cannot control how they respond to issues like this. If you want your constructive criticism to be heard I suggest directing it at someone who has EA_ in front of their name.

    In this case, the processes CPayne is referring to is probably platform certification, which is handled by Sony/ Microsoft/ Valve for their respective platforms.

  • I'm playing on PC while my friend is on PS5, and unfortunately, it doesn't seem to make any difference — not even when using the recommended tactics you provided. We're spending a significant amount of money on this game, and it's really frustrating to feel like we're not getting the experience we paid for

    The patch to fix the issue without having to use the workarounds should be releasing tomorrow.

    The game mysteriously uninstalled itself. EA is also permanently banned on all my platforms. Very strange. But nice patch after 14 days. 🤡🤡🤡

  • The new hotfix made it so that the table for changing the driver ratings can be clicked off but it doesn't change their ratings to the new numbers. Horrible. Please fix it
