It sounds like there might be a conflict between your CPU’s integrated graphics and your RTX 5090. Here are a few steps you can try:
- Check BIOS Settings
- Restart your PC and enter the BIOS/UEFI menu.
- Look for options like “Integrated Graphics,” “iGPU,” or “Onboard GPU.”
- Disable the integrated graphics if you only want to use the dedicated GPU.
- After BIOS Update
- If you recently updated the BIOS, settings may have reset. Double-check that the iGPU is still disabled.
- Restart and Test
- After making changes, restart your system and confirm that the RTX 5090 is detected properly.
- Driver Conflicts
- Make sure you have the latest NVIDIA drivers installed.
- If the iGPU was previously active, uninstall AMD graphics drivers to avoid conflicts.
- Hardware Check
- Ensure the GPU is seated correctly in the PCIe slot and all power connectors are plugged in.
Also, make sure all your monitors are connected directly to the dedicated graphics card (RTX 5090) and not to the motherboard’s video outputs. If any monitor is plugged into the motherboard, the system might still try to use the integrated GPU.
Those would be my assumptions, but making a remote diagnosis is always tricky ;)
Try it , GL 😉

Thanks for your input,
unfortunately I have done this already as it was the first thing I did when I built the PC. I also used Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) which performs a deep removed of drivers and associated files from the OS. I did this both for the AMD and Nvidia drivers as mentioned in the original post.
If I mess around with the graphics settings in no real order, delete the hardware files under F1 25, it sometimes gets working, but when I start the game the next time, it stops working again. I am just finding it extremely difficult to pin-point anything wrong with my actual system as all my other games work perfectly fine and its only F1 25 that is having issues.
I have also removed and re-installed the game which didn't make any difference.
