You cannot start a career with the f2 2026 cars even though they were added in the latest patch is this truly a bug or are they truly only there for other content within the game

As far as i remember you cannot do a cross so doing a season of the f2 25 cars will lead into the f1 25 regulations
So if I do a season of the f2 25 cars will my rookie f1 season be in 26 regs or 25 regs?
This is not a bug but has been how the team implement things since F2 has been included
