game always crashes after loading screen when starting race

The game keeps crasing whenever I want to start a race (or practice session or similar).

I can start a career, prepare a grand prix, but as soon as I try to go into practice, I see the loading screen, and when loading is finished, the screen goes black for a few seconds and then I'm back to the desktop and the game stopped running.

  • installed and reinstalled newest graphics driver (fresh install)
  • disabled DLSS
  • set all graphic settings to lowest
  • uninstalled the game and installed it again
  • updated windows
  • updated all hardware drivers

when verifying file integrity via steam, it always says 3 files failed the verification and need to be loaded again, but next time I verify file integrity, there's 3 broken files again.

    Thanks for the Answer

Well then i did actually the same but still have those crashes?

Did u had any crash since changing those settings?

  • Ok, so i had to update the NVidia drivers, they just released one where F1 25 is optimised, and the game works perfect in 4k all Ultra, 5090 RTX 32gb, 64GB ram, nvme2 ssd, win 11. So problem fixed

Step 1 Open Documents in your file explorer

Step 2 open up my games folder and click f1 25

Step 3 Open up hardwaresetting folder

Step 4 open the harware_settings_config on wordpad by right clicking and pressing 'open with'

Step 5 once word pad is open scroll down till you find <rt_pathtrace enabled="true" />

Step 6 change it from true to false should look like <rt_pathtrace enabled="false" />

Step 7 Make sure you save the word pad then close it down

Step 8 right click on the harware_settings_config again and scoll down to proporties and change it to a read-only and then press apply

Close it all down and Happy Racing

  •  file explorer > documents > My Games>F125> Hardware setting

    -right click hardware_settings_config

-scroll down until you see: <rt_pathtrace enabled="true" />

Set it to FALSE and SAVE

restart steam and this should work ,before you do the above steps , make sure to verify the game files integrity on steam and then close steam (Exit) do the above steps and open steam and run the game

I dont see a hard_settings_config on my install page, maybe because im using EA App. Where can i find the equivalent document

    nvm found it

  • So i got my Game finally running played around 12h in 2 days

what i did was Right Click on desktop then click on Displaysettings

in the window that pops up scroll down to graphics  and click on it

there will be a search bar  type in F1 25 (for me it wasnt there so i had to add it manually and i think that was the problem)

if its not there add it

if its there click on the little arrow on the right and set the GPU settings to max

since i did that my game runs fine with Pathtracing etc enabled
