I’m only at round 13 of Season 2 and I’ve started having this issue. Engineering is at Phase 4, and I’ve done all the breakthrough improvements. I have managed to complete all Aero and Chassis upgrades, but I am stuck with 3 locked supplier upgrades for Powertrain, and 2 locked supplier upgrades for Durability.
Tried going into round 14 with no new upgrades and qualified 15th when I was consistently qualifying in top 3 before. Career mode is very quickly becoming impossible and like others have said, I fear I now need to quit until this is fixed or my performance is going to nosedive and my career ruined, making the game unplayable.
