No release after pit stop

This has happened to me in back to back races in 2 player career. First in Bahrain then in Jeddah. I go into the pits ahead of the next car by 4-5 seconds, the pit stop doesn't have any issue (optimal turn in, 2.3-2.4s stop) but then I'm held for no reason and after 6-7 seconds all the cars that pitted behind pass before I'm released.  I am playing as Kick Sauber if that helps. This has cost me 2 races in a row and it's making the game unplayable now.

yeah this happens in my career also, but not to me, the AI seems to be having issues with this, particulary Max Verstappen. In driver career mode I added Konnersport and Max Verstappen switched from Red Bull to Konnersport for 2nd season and both in Imola and Monaco (2 races in a row) he was just sitting there in the pitstop waiting for a green light while there was nobody around him

i had the same problem , 3  two of the races where back to back.. i noticed it was after that i upgraded the pitcrew to the second level (2/3) in my team that this started to happen.

Any update regarding this? The workaround only works for me and not my teammate. This is quite game breaking and I have another example here where my teammate looses 15 positions because of this game breaking bug. This is also impacting my rivarly as we are loosing out on points we would have otherwise been scoring.

I did see someone suggest in one of these topics is seems to occur after you upgrade your pit crew and vaguely remember not having this issues before I upgraded them.

Two races completed in My Team season 2 on xbox. Pit crew at level 3.

Australia. Did not effect teammate who pitted in traffic (both on track and in pit lane). I pitted from first, no cars near me. Was affected with assists. Turned off assist and loaded save from right before entering pits and was not affected. AI 75

Japan. Teammate pitted from traffic with jo other cars in pit lane was unaffected I pitted with traffic in pitlane and on track. Was unaffected. AI 70

I was having the same issue until now, but it got fixed for me. Here is how I "might" have fixed it:

Go to Settings > Assists > Pit Assist Release (from off to on) > close the game > reopen > Settings > Assists > Pit Assist Release (from on to off)

FYI: A new season began, and my pit box was sent from front to back in the pit lane.

For me it was on, I turned it off after going back to a mid session save right before I pit, turned it back on after the pit and have had no issue in 4 races. 

But my pit box is still where it was based on the race I am at. 

Game is absolutely unplayable with this issue. Have been playing a coop career with my friend and every single race one of us is held in the pit lane for upwards of 40 seconds absolutely ruining our career. One of the most frustrating bugs I have ever experienced and makes the game unplayable. I will be having one of the best races of my life just to get held in the pit lane for 45 seconds and dropped from 1st to 16th. Happens to both me and my coop partner, I have tried all different settings for pit release being assist on or off, broadcast mode, manual release, none of it has fixed the issue. The game will not let you out of the pit until every single car in the pit lane behind you has left the pit lane. Playing as APX for reference. Will not continue playing this game until this issue is fixed and will be looking for a refund.
