If you're playing on PC with an Nvidia card you may want to rollback your driver. I've been having some issues with the version that released a few days ago myself.

version 610.88 seems to work for me, but others probably work as well. I would just make sure to avoid 616.56

DirectX 11 often provides better stability for mid/ low end PC hardware, but I think it this case it the issue is mostly to do with the new Nvidia driver.
