Visual Artifacts: Flickering black/grey squares on Intel Iris Xe (i7-11370H)

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

I am experiencing consistent visual artifacts consisting of black and grey squares that flicker rapidly during menu transitions and in-game cutscenes. The issue is most prominent over the 3D character models and garage backgrounds.

SYSTEM SPECIFICATIONS

-CPU: Intel Core i7-11370H @ 3.30GHz

-GPU: Intel Iris Xe Graphics (Shared 8GB VRAM)

-Graphics Driver: 32.0.101.7080

-OS: Windows 11

TROUBLESHOOTING STEPS TAKEN

-Variable Rate Shading (VRS): Disabled

-Graphics Settings: Set to Low/Very Low for Lighting and Shadows

-FPS Limit: Tested at 60 FPS cap

-Shader Cache: Manually cleared the hardwaresettings folder

-Resolution: The problem persists at both 800p and 1080p

I have attached screenshots of my settings and a video showing the artifacts.

  • Unfortunately, the Intel Iris Xe graphics are below the minimum specifications for the game so there isn't much support I can provide.

The one thing I would suggest though, is to try downloading the latest drivers as there is a slightly newer version then what is currently installed. Link to the download on Intel's website can be found below.
