Whenever I start the game in VR mode, everything looks fine, until I get to actual gameplay (garage/driving). The view is broken, each eye looking in some random direction. Resetting VR position does nothing. I have also tried many other options, tweaking settings, closest I got to "fixing" it was overriding scale to 50%, but even in that case, it is still slightly headachy, and just looks overall horrible.
The problem is on PC, using a PS VR2 connected through the official PS VR adapter, with an AMD RX 9070 XT through DP 1.4. Other games work perfectly fine with no tweaking.

VR is broken

This sounds like it's related to this issue, also specifically for the AMD RX9070XT: https://forums.ea.com/idea/f1-25-bug-reports-en/vr-not-working-amd-9070xt/12883693
I got similar results to your "fix" when I start another game first in the same SteamVR session, then start F1 25. The view is off and the framerate is horrible, but at least it shows something (by default the screen is black for me). Hope we can get this under the attention of the devs so it can (finally) be fixed, as it seems to occur for over 6 months now and is blocking users with a 9070XT entirely to play in VR...
