Are you referring to the name in the top left corner where your squad overall and chemistry are located?
It could be that you have to change the squad name as well, not sure. If that is not the problem, then don't mind me.

If you have the companion app, you can just go to squad, select the squad you want to use, and push rename.
In game, you would press L3, go to squad select I think, and once you're there if I recall correctly you would press the square button (on the bottom of the screen it will say rename with the corresponding button).
I haven't memorized it, and am not currently on the console, so I hope I've explained correctly.
