For almost 2 months now, I’ve been encountering more and more critical bugs in Ultimate Team that all cause my game to crash, and this literally every time I try to play. To the point where the game almost doesn’t even allow me to play at all, crashing as well in the menus as during most of my matches. So I’ll explain here the crashing bugs I’ve been encountering, occurring every single time I played, and how it progressed to this current state of total unplayability. (And before anyone says that it might be a problem with my ps5 or my network connection, know that it’s not: I live in one of the biggest cities in France where network is very good, and fc25 is the only game ever where I encounter problems).
If I remember correctly, the first crashes started around 2 months ago. Around the time of the first evolution for silver players that improved the stats without increasing the player’s global rating. (It may be a total coincidence but I mention it since all my crashing bugs started right after I did this evo.)
First, it was whenever I tried to do some evos, mostly those intended for defensive players but not only (couldn’t even try to do these evos since it crashed automatically). Today it’s 80% of the evos that are unavailable for me. I managed to do some by using the mobile app for a time, but it’s not a real solution at all. But at least it didn’t totally stop me from playing… yet.
Then it started to crash during matches. Whether it was in rivals, champions or rush (and I guess it’s the same for friendlies and team clash, but I never play these modes). Mostly when the match is about to launch, during kinematics (or sometimes but more rarely: after a goal from the opponent, mostly when I was leading). It crashed, leaving me with an automatic defeat and the beautiful message from EA when I relaunched the game, blaming me for « having disconnected during a match ». When it started, it didn’t happen so much, crashing 1 match or 2 out of 10. But now it’s 2 out of 3. So of course I almost can’t play anymore. (I couldn’t do any progression in rivals div2, and even if I won every of my matches that didn’t crash in champions last week, the crashes made me end with only 7 victories. And still I was lucky that it was only half my matches and not more like it’s usually the case lately).
I also take this opportunity to report another crashing bug while I’m at it. There was a bug this week when I selected one of my concept teams, that totally blocked me from playing at all. Indeed, it crashed when I selected this concept formation/line-up (I don’t know if it’s the accurate namings since my game is in french). And since then this bug instantly made the game crash whenever I tried to access my team, whether it was to manage the team, re-change my formation, or launch a match (since before launching a match the team is supposed to be displayed, and it crashed before I could try to change again to my previous formation instead of this bugged concept team). So I couldn’t play anymore, at all this time. I finally managed to avoid it by going to the mobile app and reselecting my previous formation there, and since then I deleted every concept teams I had.
Finally, It also crashes sometimes when I’m in the list of all my club players in team management, or also when I’m in player’s selection in Rush mode.
Long story short, the game is virtually unplayable and crashes several times an hour. Its current state is as pitiful as was Cyberpunk when it first released, if not more (and they were forced to refund their buyers). So if this situation isn’t resolved soon (it’s been 2 months now), I think I’ll simply stop trying to play it and never buy another fifa game ever, since as it is, I bought this game for nothing except a total waste of money.
