As been already said, no, there is no compensation, as it is your mistake to change the rarity of the card by applying another evo to the card.

I agree it is a mistake, but a lot of people make this mistake because there is no warning. Normally, eveyone wants to improve their evo but they didn't notice the rarity. I think a warning before using other evo options will be good for people who are thinking of applying  "El Pibe de Oro" in the future.
