Player career - impossible to advance to penalty shootout

When progressing to the penalty shootout screen in knockout competitions, it is impossible to advance to the actual shootout. The option to advance appears, but I am unable to interact with anything....

Today 2025-03-04 and this problem continues. I went to give the game another chance and I come across this. Unbelievable.
