Player career - impossible to advance to penalty shootout

When progressing to the penalty shootout screen in knockout competitions, it is impossible to advance to the actual shootout. The option to advance appears, but I am unable to interact with anything....

Such a joke, ik not everything can be perfect but come on EA one of your biggest selling points and this multi billion pound company cannot let you play penalty shootouts....
