Scoreboard not updating

i was in a rivals game the other day, in an intense game, he cameback from a 4-1 lead for me to a 4-5 lead for him, and towards the end of the game i score an equalizer to make it 5-5 with a perfectly normal goal, and after kickoff i zoned out a little then looked at the scoreboard only to find it at 4-5 still, so i was confused and frustrated and while that happened in the dying minutes he scored his 6th goal, AND ONLY THEN the score board shows my 5th goal by making it 5-6, i really hope ea stop these bugs and glitches somehow or just compensate the player after the game by giving them the rivals point for drawing or even not counting the game, did anyone experience the same thing or did this only happen to me
