I'm having the same problem since yesterday. I suspect you were playing friendlies to complete uefa dreamchasers challenges.
if that's so then we most likely experiencing some kind of a soft ban. EA has set a maximum of games you can play in a predetermined period of time, to prevent cheaters etc.
Because of the game mode's rules being first to 1 goal the matches are extremely short, so you reach that limit quite fast even if you didn't something wrong.
That's the best explanation i could come up with. It's definitely EA's fault and we should demand some in-game rewards for such inconvenience.

If this is the reason that’s crazy. At least I have an idea what it is, thank you. I was grinding the cup rewards early so this reasoning adds up. And you are right compensation has to be issued. The rewards you and up missing out in the game mode with the best rewards is ridiculous. All for playing the game.
