Career Mode Unexpected Event Transfer Request

I just had my first unexpected event come up with a player requesting a transfer. When the offers came through it said the Assistant Manager was negotiating, a few weeks go by and the offers are withdrawn with messages saying I hadn’t responded to their offers.
