Create A Club - Can't Choose Which Country To Play In

I have just tried to start a new Manager Career Mode using the Create A Club option however when I get to the Replace Team section, it is only allowing me to choose the team that is set at my favourite team in the overall settings, and it won't let me select a different league or team (I'm trying to set it up to create a Spanish 2nd division team but it will only allow me to choose to replace Sunderland in the English Premier League).
