Re: FC26 Clubs Matchmaking Failed
Title: Cross-Region Clubs Matchmaking Fails After Latest Update
Game: EA SPORTS FC™ 26
Mode: Clubs (League and Rush)
Platform(s): All Platforms (observed on multiple platforms)
Issue Type: Matchmaking
Severity: Critical
Summary
After the latest game update, Clubs matchmaking appears to be broken for teams with players connected from different geographic regions. This issue had occurred previously, was fixed in an earlier update, and has now reappeared.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create or join a Clubs lobby.
- Have players join from different regions (example: USA and Brazil).
- Enable Cross-Play for all players.
- Search for a Clubs League or Clubs Rush match.
Expected Result
The matchmaking system should find and start a match regardless of players being in different regions, as it did before the latest update.
Actual Result
Matchmaking searches indefinitely without finding an opponent.
- In some cases, a matchmaking error is displayed.
- The issue consistently occurs when the lobby contains players from different regions.
- *Cross-Play being enabled does not resolve the problem.
Frequency
Very often (approximately 90–100% reproduction rate when the lobby contains players from multiple regions).
Affected Game Modes
- Clubs League
- Clubs Rush
Workarounds Attempted
- Restarting the game.
- Recreating the lobby.
- Changing the club captain/host.
- Toggling Cross-Play on and off.
- Having all players restart their consoles/PCs.
- Searching multiple times.
- Waiting several minutes in matchmaking.
None of these workarounds consistently resolve the issue.
Additional Information
- The issue appears to have started immediately after the latest game update.
- This is a regression of a previously resolved matchmaking issue.
- Numerous players in the community are reporting the same behavior.
- The problem specifically affects clubs with players located in different regions (for example, USA and Brazil), making it impossible for friends from different countries to play together.
Impact
This bug prevents Clubs teams with international players from finding matches, making one of the core online features of the game effectively unusable for affected clubs.
