ea fc 26 ultimate team division rivals co op not working

player 1 (the host) invites player 2 to their lobby by pressing Y/Triangle to access the, play Div Rivals co op mode or whatever its called. What happens is player 2 joins and is presented with player 1's best 3 players as per normal but they cant see the player name or team name, it just shows the basic FC ultimate team logo. Whereas player 1 is just stuck on the 'waiting for player to join' message.

One thing to note is that one of us is on Steam and the other is on xbox. However, the same bug happens if player 1 and 2 were to swap (Player 2 would become player 1 and therefore be stuck on the "waiting for players screen")
