FC 26 Manager Mode – Player Morale and Transfer Issues

I am experiencing an issue with two players in FC 26 Manager Mode.

I forgot to renew both players' contracts. Both were important first-team players, and after I failed to renew their contracts, their morale dropped and they became unhappy. Even though I gave positive comments about both players in post-match interviews, their morale never improved.

One of the players' contracts expired and he transferred to another club. I then tried to sign him back. When I click “Approach to Buy”, the offer screen does not open. Instead, I only get a blank window with an “OK” button, which takes me back to the transfer menu. His profile also says “Transfers restricted from setup settings.”

The other player's contract expires in approximately 2 months. He is still at my club and plays regularly, but I cannot renew his contract because his status says “He has expressed his desire to leave the club and has submitted a transfer request.” Therefore, he will leave the club at the end of the season.

My career settings are Transfer Embargo: None and Transfer Approaches: Loose.

Could this be a bug? Why do players whose contracts I forgot to renew remain unhappy despite regular playing time and positive post-match interviews? Also, why can I not re-sign the player whose contract has expired when his profile says “Transfers restricted from setup settings”? And why can I not renew the contract of the player who has requested to leave the club?
