I can't play in the championship

Hello. I have 1,000 points and am in Division 4. Why can't I register for the championship?

When I exit the menu and re-enter the championship:

I press the “Participate” button:

"Connection error with the Football Ultimate Team servers. Please try again later"

This error has occurred for the second day in a row.
