It's a foolish set-piece tactic.

[Player Career]

During a set piece, some players run over to a teammate who is about to take a corner kick. They receive the ball and dribble along the touchline to take a shot.
I’ve played this game for a long time, yet I've only seen that tactic result in a goal once or twice.
The goalkeeper is positioned right in front of the goal, and the opposing defenders are blocking the path. Why would anyone choose to do that when there’s virtually no clear shooting lane?
It’s ridiculous.

How would you feel if a player on your favorite team made that kind of play?
I believe team sports are about devising winning strategies and executing high-probability plays.
In order to win as a team, we need to determine what constitutes a high-probability approach.

Shouldn't a professional's goal be to choose the best way for the team to win?
