Player career rating drop

I'm in my 6th season of player career mode and bugs have ruined the save. At the start of the 3rd season I was 88 rated overall, then out of nowhere it dropped to 84. I still have the stats of an 88+ rated player but not the rating. If I reset my attributes I get 395 points, which isn't enough to build back to the stats I had before and leaves me at 83 rated. 

In the last 3 seasons I played at Man City, Barca and PSG, winning player of the season and golden boot all 3 seasons, winning the treble with Barca and PSG, winning the double with City, and setting the league record for most goals in a single season in La Liga and Ligue 1. Each season I have an average rating of 9.5+. Even with these incredible stats, because my rating is only 84, I never make the UEFA team of the year, I'm never considered for the Ballon d'Or and, most annoyingly, I never get called up for the English national team.   

Worst career mode I have ever played, and I have played every year from Fifa 11.
