Edit Teams and Kick Off mode are broken functions of EA FC26
We play locally and edit teams to make custom squads. We have done this for years on FIFA and there was never an issue until FC25 where the game crashed after you edited teams and tried to play The issue was fixed FC25 in January. To our disbelief the issue is back in FC26. Any time there is an event in clubs, currently the Champions League event, our club (its only ever ours) has a two goalie glitch. One of our defenders always drops back into goal. There is no offsides for the other team. We're down a man because the extra goalie doesn't do a **bleep** thing. Our formation is jacked. We lose event attempts but why even try honestly. Terrible. So frustrating.
Tactics not saving AGAIN. Please don't ignore it.
Set your team up and go to a game, only to discover some of your players are in random positions. If you change to another tactic, it's worse, more players in wrong positions. This was reported in FC26, and seemed to be ignored, despite there being over 500 comments on one post. If you don't want the community to complain about the game, listen to what's being said.
Measurement System Setting NOT Persisting – "Metric" option
Product: EA SPORTS FC 26 Platform: All Platforms (PS5, Xbox Series X, PC) Issue Type: Visual / Settings Bug I am writing to report a persistent and extremely frustrating bug that has plagued this franchise for years and is still present in FC 26. For decades, EA Sports forced the Imperial system on players simply because they selected the English language. Finally, the team realized that a vast majority of the world (Europeans and others) play the game in English (as a universal language) but use the Metric system (cm/kg). While the option to manually change the "Measurement System" in the Visual settings was finally added, it is fundamentally broken. The Bug: Even though I have set the Measurement System to METRIC in the settings menu, the game fails to apply this setting correctly upon restarting the game. 1. I set the Measurement System to Metric and save. 2. I restart the game. 3. When I check the settings, it still says "Metric" (as seen in the attached screenshot). HOWEVER, inside the game modes (Global Transfer Network, Squad Hub, Player Bios), all player stats are displayed in IMPERIAL (ft/lbs) (as seen in the screenshot with Hakim Ziyech). The Only Workaround: To fix this, I have to manually go into Settings every single time I launch the game, toggle the setting to Imperial, and then toggle it back to Metric. Only then does the game refresh the UI to show cm/kg. It is incredibly frustrating to have to perform this manual toggle every single time I play. This issue occurs across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC for years. Issue Type: Incorrect dismissal / Board Objective bug / Cutscene bug / Permanent black screen Date in Career: 24 May Description of the issue: I am experiencing a serious and reproducible bug in EA SPORTS FC 26 Manager Career Mode on Xbox Series X. During the season I won both the domestic league and the domestic cup. The board objective related to winning the league is clearly shown in the Objectives section as completed. However, on 24 May, at the end-of-season evaluation, the board sacks me and the dismissal message incorrectly states that I failed to win the league. This is factually incorrect because: I won the league. The league objective is displayed as completed in the Board Objectives section. I also won the domestic cup. There are no other visible minor objectives explaining the dismissal. After being sacked, the game forces me to choose another available club. After accepting a job with a new club, another bug occurs. The game plays a trophy / championship bus parade cutscene using the new club, even though that club did not win the league or the trophies that I won with my previous team. After this incorrect parade cutscene finishes, the screen becomes completely black. The game does not return to the Career Mode menus and the save becomes impossible to continue. The black screen remains indefinitely. This happens regardless of which new club I choose. Therefore, the issue appears to be a sequence of connected bugs: The game incorrectly evaluates a completed league objective as failed. The manager is incorrectly sacked despite having won the league. After joining another club, the game incorrectly transfers the championship celebration / bus parade cutscene to the new club. After the parade, Career Mode enters a permanent black screen. The Career save can no longer be continued normally. Steps to reproduce: Start or load a Manager Career Mode save. Win the domestic league. Check Board Objectives and confirm that the objective to win the league is marked as completed. In my case, I also won the domestic cup. Advance to the end-of-season board evaluation on 24 May. The board incorrectly sacks the manager and states that the league was not won. Choose any available new club after being dismissed. Accept the new job. The game plays the introduction to the new club. A championship / trophy bus parade cutscene then plays with the new club, even though the trophies were won with the previous team. After the parade finishes, the screen becomes permanently black. Career Mode cannot be continued. Expected result: The manager should NOT be sacked for failing to win the league when the league has actually been won and the related Board Objective is marked as completed. If a manager changes club after dismissal, the new club should also not play the previous club’s championship celebration / trophy parade. After accepting a new job, Career Mode should continue normally without a permanent black screen. Actual result: The game incorrectly sacks the manager for failing a league objective that is already completed. After joining another club, the wrong championship parade is shown with the new club and the game then enters a permanent black screen. Frequency: 100% reproducible on this Career save. Reloading the save and repeating the process produces the same result. Choosing a different new club does not solve the problem. Important additional information: The most important part of this issue is that the game itself confirms in the Board Objectives screen that the league objective has been successfully completed. Despite this, the end-of-season dismissal message says that the league was not won. This strongly suggests that the end-of-season board evaluation is reading an incorrect or outdated objective state. The incorrect trophy parade with the new club may also indicate that the game is carrying over the previous club’s end-of-season celebration state after the dismissal. The permanent black screen appears immediately after this incorrect cutscene sequence. What I would like EA to investigate: Please investigate the end-of-season Board Objective evaluation in Manager Career Mode, especially cases where a league-winning objective is displayed as completed but is later treated as failed. Please also investigate the transition after a manager is dismissed and joins another club, because the championship parade from the previous club appears to be incorrectly triggered for the new club and then causes a permanent black screen. This bug effectively makes the Career save unplayable and can result in the loss of a long-term Manager Career.Crashes freezes and won’t load
I have EA Sports FC 26 digital version and almost everytime I try to open the game or once I’m in and play career mode the game will constantly freeze on any load screen with just a black screen. It also kicks me from the game but never comes up with a crash report. I can’t play the game half the time as it constantly freezes. I’ve done all the troubleshooting Xbox suggests and nothing has worked. Uninstalled the game and redownloaded and it worked for a day or two and it’s right back to doing the same things again.Career Mode crashes when selecting or playing against Real Madrid
Platform: Xbox Series X Game Version: EA SPORTS FC 26 (latest update installed) Issue Description: After the latest update, the game crashes in Career Mode whenever Real Madrid is involved. Two scenarios cause the crash: 1. When I start a new Career Mode and select Real Madrid, the game crashes immediately after I press the final confirmation button on the Career Mode settings screen. 2. When I play with any other team against Real Madrid in Career Mode, the game crashes as soon as I press the button to enter the match. Steps to Reproduce: · Scenario 1: Career Mode → New Career → Select Real Madrid → Confirm final settings → Crash · Scenario 2: Career Mode → Any team → Play a match against Real Madrid → Press "Enter Match" → CrashSeasons Mode – Win not awarded after opponent disconnects/rage quits
Platform: Xbox Xbox Gamertag: LucaPro79 Mode: Online Seasons Issue: For approximately one month, whenever I am winning a Seasons match and my opponent disconnects or quits — especially in the final minutes (after the 75th–80th minute) — the match analysis does not award me the win, even when I am clearly ahead. The match simply disappears from my record as if it never happened. This bug has become extremely frequent recently. It was not like this before — something has clearly changed or regressed in a recent update. It now happens on a regular basis, to the point where the mode is effectively broken and unplayable. The result is that only my losses are properly recorded (because I always see matches through to the end), while wins are lost whenever the opponent rage quits. This directly and unfairly impacts my division progression. I want to stress that Online Seasons is the only mode I play. This bug does not just affect my experience — it makes the entire game unplayable for me. If this is not resolved, there is simply no point in continuing to play FC 26. This is also a known and widespread issue reported by many players on EA Forums, ongoing since launch with no fix to date. Suggested solutions (any one of these would resolve the issue): Bot takeover: When the opponent disconnects, have a bot continue the match in their place so the game can be completed normally. Award win without penalizing the other player: In Seasons (a solo progression mode), simply credit the win to the player who remained. There is no need to assign a loss to the disconnecting player — just give the win to the one who stayed. Freeze and register the score after the 75th minute: If a disconnect occurs after the 75th minute of in-game time, automatically record the current result as the final outcome. Please investigate and escalate as a priority. I am happy to provide clips recorded on Xbox as evidence.
