Pre-Season Trossard – "Score 5 goals with a LW" objective not tracking

Hello,

I'm experiencing a bug with the Pre-Season Trossard objective group, specifically the task: "Score 5 goals in Squad Battles (min. Semi-Pro) with a LW."

The objective is not tracking my progress even though I am meeting every requirement:

  • I'm using a formation that has a LW position (4-3-3).
  • The goals are scored by a player who is playing in the LW slot (position shows as LW in-game).
  • I'm playing Squad Battles on Semi-Pro difficulty (which meets the minimum requirement).

Despite scoring goals with my LW under these exact conditions, the counter stays at 0/5 and does not increase.

I have already tried:

  • Backing out to the main FUT hub and re-entering the Objectives tab to force a refresh.
  • Fully restarting the game (cold boot, not rest mode).

Neither fixed the issue.

This appears to be a known bug — other players are reporting the same problem with this objective since the Trossard group went live. Could you please investigate and fix the tracking? I'd also appreciate confirmation on whether goals scored during the bug will count retroactively, or if I'll need to replay them after a fix.

  • Mode/Difficulty: Squad Battles, Semi-Pro

    Have a look at the pinned reply for the solution if you are still unable to complete the Winger Wonders objective.

    Mode: Ultimate Team

    Objective: Pre-Season Trossard – Winger Wonders

    The objective requires scoring 5 goals with a player whose preferred position is LW. I have scored multiple goals with an eligible LW player in Squad Battles on the required difficulty, but the progress remains stuck at 0/5.

    The other three objectives in the Pre-Season Trossard group have tracked and completed correctly. Only Winger Wonders is not progressing.

    I have already restarted Ultimate Team and the game, but the issue remains.

    Please investigate, as the objective is time-limited and currently cannot be completed.

    From what I can see, most players are using Eden Hazard or Kylian Mbappe - neither of these players has any cards at all that have LW as a primary position. If you want to be sure, search the player's name up on FUTBIN, but don't press enter - it will come up with every card of every player that has those letters, along with a position just to the right of their name - this is their primary position.

    Hello everyone,

     I've merged many posts in here to avoid duplicate threads about the same issue.

    I just wanted to confirm that the objective is working as intended.

    For goals to count toward the Pre-Season Trossard LW objective, the item must have LW as its Primary Position.Having LW as a Secondary Position will not count, even if the player is being used at LW.

    While we understand it might be confusing, we will make sure to share the feedback with the team.

    Hi EA_Nazul, thanks for looking into this.

    Here are the LW players I used, none of their goals tracked toward the objective:

    • Eden Hazard (played in LW slot, 4-3-3 formation)
    • Kylian Mbappé (played in LW slot, 4-3-3 formation)

    Both scored goals while positioned as LW, but the objective stayed at 0/5.

    Importantly, this happens across multiple modes, not just one:

    • Squad Battles (Semi-Pro difficulty) — no tracking
    • Live Events — no tracking either

    So the bug does not seem to be mode-specific; the objective simply does not register LW goals in any mode I've tried.
