I just got this issue as well and what worked for me was changing shooting assistance to precision, save, play for few seconds, change back to assisted and now my strikers powershoot balls in the top corners. Also try to restore your controller settings to default and manually change shooting option to "B", even though you already have it set to "B". Ive done all this and it worked for me, hope it helps you too.
