Squad Management & Transfers Broken – Latest Update Made It Even Worse
At this point it’s hard to avoid stating the obvious: EA FC 26 is fundamentally broken at its core.
The single most essential feature of a football game — transfers and squad management — barely works anymore. Here’s what’s currently happening (and has been happening for months):
-Transfers do not save or revert randomly
-Tactical changes aren’t applied
-Players cannot be moved between positions reliably
-Editing too many squads leads to CE-108255-1, freezing the game entirely
-Managing multiple teams is basically a gamble rather than a feature
Instead of addressing any of this, the latest update actually made things worse: With the introduction of World Selection teams (or like legend teams...I don't know the proper english word, I'm from germany), the system now seems completely overwhelmed. Players who exist both in their club squad and World Selection are effectively locked.
Concrete example:
Cole Palmer and Moisés Caicedo (Chelsea)
-> Both are part of Chelsea and the "Best of Chelsea"-team
-> Result: They cannot be transferred to any other club at all. Ever.
This is not a niche edge case — it directly affects real-world star players and makes long-term modes borderline unplayable. So here we are:
-A football game where transfers don’t work
-A management system that collapses under basic usage
-Each update adding features instead of fixing the foundation
And yes, it’s hard not to notice that anything not related to monetization seems to have zero priority. But maybe — just maybe — someone at EA might eventually want to fix the actual game.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Or are we just supposed to accept that squad management is now a decorative menu?
