Unable to renew contract after player asks for a new one - Career Mode

Hello,

I am aware of the contract system being changed but even when I respect a players wishes of not wanting to stay and transfer listing themselves, then deciding to stay and want better wages, I cannot renew their contract because they are transfer listed. 

I should be able to renew their contract if they ask for a new one but the game doesn't let me. I've attached a video to show this.

The changes in how contract renewals work have broken the concept of playing career mode entirely so I hope this gets fixed!
