Wrong input detected - orange icon on players

Every time I go into a Rivals match, the player icon turns orange and the game switches the input to keyboard instead of my controller — even though I haven’t touched the keyboard at all. Because of this, the controls don’t respond properly and I can’t actually play the match.

I’ve restarted the game multiple times but it keeps happening. So far I’ve had to disconnect from about 3–4 matches because I couldn’t control my players properly, which means I’ve been given losses and my coin multiplier has dropped. That’s really frustrating considering it’s caused by a bug.

I also did some research and it looks like people have been reporting this same issue since FIFA 23, so it seems like it’s been around for a while.

Has anyone found a fix for this? And EA, please look into this because it’s making Rivals really difficult to play.
