Wrong number color when promoted to PL

When I get promoted to the Premier League with Derby County, the away kit numbers change from white to black. The away kit is dark grey, so black numbers have very poor visibility and look incorrect. 

Expected result: 

Correct number color (in this case white, not black).

Actual result:

Black numbers on darkgray kit (wron number color).
