Hi EA Team / Community,
I am experiencing two severe control-related bugs in FC 27 that severely disrupt normal gameplay. I have verified via the in-game Controller Overlay that my hardware is functioning 100% correctly (no phantom R3 inputs or stick drift).
Issue 1: A-pass triggers unintended First Touch Flick / Lob
Symptom: When attempting a regular ground pass using the A button, the player frequently performs an unwanted "First Touch Flick" or wips the ball up in the air, similar to an R3 press.
Details: This happens even when tapping A once clearly. The Input Overlay confirms only the A button is being registered (no R3 or stick click). It seems like a context-dependent animation glitch or engine bug incorrectly interpreting the ground pass input.
Issue 2: Fake Shot (X + A) failing / non-responsive
Symptom: Executing a Fake Shot using X + A constantly fails. Instead of cancelling the animation, the player executes a regular cross/lobbed pass.
Details: Switching between Tactical Defending and Advanced Defending does not permanently solve the issue, and deleting the local Personal Settings profile has not resolved it either.
Steps Taken To Troubleshoot:
- Enabled Controller Input Overlay (no unexpected button presses registered).
- Tested connection (stable 14ms ping).
- Reset control settings.
- Cleared local personal settings files.
Multiple players on social media (X/Twitter) are reporting the exact same A-pass flick glitch. Please investigate these input/animation bugs for the upcoming patch.
