The Grounds Bug: Forced Red/Blue Kits Hide Licensed Club Shirts
Issue Overview:
There is an intrusive visual glitch and design flaw in The Grounds. When playing 2v2 mini-games, the game forcibly overrides team colors, rendering one team entirely in blue and the other in red, even when the High Contrast setting is completely disabled in the options. Furthermore, this forced coloring strips away players' officially licensed club kits—such as Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) shirts worn by character avatars—raising potential intellectual property and club licensing compliance issues by hiding official club merchandise.
Visual Proof & Core Concerns:
- 1. User Settings Bypassed: Despite the High Contrast gameplay option being turned off, The Grounds mini-games override personal customization and force monolithic red/blue team kits.
- 2. Suppression of Licensed Club Kits: Authentic club jerseys (like PSG) are completely hidden under generic colored shirts, ruining squad personalization.
- 3. Licensing & IP Implications: Suppressing official, licensed club kits in favor of forced generic colors may conflict with brand agreements and intellectual property rights held by partner clubs.
Recommended Fixes:
- Respect User Customization in The Grounds: Allow players to proudly display their official licensed club kits (such as PSG) during 2v2 mini-games instead of enforcing default red/blue kits when High Contrast is disabled.
- Ensure Licensing Compliance: Audit rendering rules in social modes to ensure partner club kits are accurately displayed, protecting brand and licensing agreements.
