Online Versus

When I play online with my friend, there is only a small selection of jerseys available. Would it be possible to create a kind of versus mode in which you only play with friends and have all the options that you have in single player? For example, the freedom to choose your jersey, play with a team you have created yourself and make changes to the existing squad.
