Scoreboard clock & clock on the boards out of sync by a tenth of a second

My team was unable to score a game tying goal at the end of the 3rd period. The puck crossed the line while the clock on the boards was still showing 0.1 seconds remaining, yet the green light behind the net was on signaling that the period had ended. Attached are a gif & screenshot of the play
