Bailing too much

I'm not sure if my settings are weird but I find myself bailing and falling off my board a little too much. I do a kickflip off of a ramp and my guy is ragdolling before I even get off the halfpipe, and the magnetism of my character to a rail feels almost out of hand, and landing from a jump onto a ramp feels almost like luck. I'm not sure if it is the game or what, but if there are some settings I can change, please let me know!
