Infinite Loading/Black Screen After Returning to Marker or Completing Challenges
Platform: PC, PS5 (platform-independent) Description: Since Season 3, returning to the session marker (D-Pad up) occasionally causes the game to freeze on either the loading screen or a completely black screen. This happens approximately 1–2 times per hour. Same thing when completing challenges. The screen does not resolve, and the only way to recover is to force close the game (Alt + F4 on PC). Additional Details: The game continues running in the background. You can hear other players, and matches (e.g., OTL) continue without your participation. Occurs on both PC and PS5. Attached: video recording showing the issue. Steps to Reproduce: Play the game normally. Return to the session marker using D-Pad up or finish a challenge. Occasionally, the loading screen will freeze or go black. Frequency: 1–2 times per hour Impact: Prevents gameplay and requires forced shutdown.
Daily task title error: Request for different gestures in Japanese
I found an errored text in daily task title on the Japanese ver. In English : Clap (gesture) for another Skater [n/3] In Japanese : 他のスケーターに指差し（ジェスチャー）を行う [n/3] `指差し` refers to the action of indicating an object with a finger—similar to the English word `POINT`, its not `CLAP`. If I translate it : 他のスケーターに拍手（ジェスチャー）を行う [n/3]Wallride detection is broken and overly sensitive
Everyone has noticed this problem, or at the very least experienced it and been confused. It ruined the Nike SB park for many people due to the odd geometry of the signs triggering a wallride on the underside of the top beam. It triggers wallrides on the sides of round handrails. A S3 challenge on Grom was extremely difficult to complete because instead of jumping from the awning to the rainbow rail, the game decided you were trying to wallride down the pier's pillars 30 feet below the rail. In this video it's extremely difficult to get into a grind on the rail because the wallride detection rotates you to enter the foliage-covered 75 degree vertical bank on the opposite side. I hope this doesn't just come across as being a hater, this game is really good in so many ways and if this section of the "everything is skateable" physics can ever get fixed it would be so much better because it makes certain objects and areas so much less skateable. Please do something about this finally. I'm sure it's baked deep into the physics of the game but sheeeeesh, name a bug more ubiquitous with this generation of skate. gameplay. If every player doesn't encounter this problem multiple times per session I'd be surprised, we've all just gotten used to how bad it is.
Neighbourhood Progress reset & stuck at 0 / 0
Description of the issue: Right after the Season 3 maintenance was over and I hopped in to check things out, all of my neighbourhood levels and progress got reset/bugged out. They are simply stuck at 0 / 0 and will not update or progress at all. Can't buy any product boxes either, even if it shows that I already have multiple boxes unlocked in said neighbourhood. It's been like this two weeks. Steps to trigger/reproduce the issue: Start the game as usual Look at the 0 / 0 on your current neighbourhood and wonder if all your progress gone Write bug report and hope for the best. I've seen a handful of other people post on reddit and the discord with the same issue. Still no acknowledgement as a known bug, which worries me a ton. Platform: PC (Steam) Troubleshooting steps already performed: Validated files through Steam. Reinstalled game completely. Attempted to run a few missions both old and new in every neighbourhood hoping it would fix things. No luck.Camera Switch Side Controls
Hey there. The "Switch Side Controls" option feels off. The "L3" (left stick button) input only registers if the stick is centered. I could see how having this as an option to enable would be useful, so you don't accidentally click it. But, as it is currently, it feels unintutive and interruptive to me. I would like to be able to have control over my character's direction, while still being able to change the camera. skate. launches in exclusive fullscreen at wrong res before correcting itself
I tried reporting this many months back but my post was merged with someone else's unrelated thread about a somewhat similar issue, but not the same as what I'm experiencing. That other issue has since been fixed, this one has not. Almost every time I launch skate. it'll first try to launch in exclusive fullscreen mode at a small resolution for a few seconds, before then switching back to what I have set in-game (borderless windowed + 2560x1440). I deal with this bug 90% of the time when I launch the game, and I've been dealing with it since day one of the game's release. I'm not sure why sometimes it doesn't occur, I've found no rhyme or reason. Explanation of the bug and steps taken to reproduce it: Launch the game through Steam. The anti-cheat splash image appears. Once the anti-cheat finishes loading and disappears the game begins to open, except it shows as a black window in a small resolution for a few seconds. Then the game forcefully tries to switch to exclusive fullscreen at whatever tiny resolution it's using, shifting around my whole desktop and all other opened windows/programs. After about 2 seconds it switches back to the correct screen mode (like borderless) and resolution that I have selected in the game's settings. Disabling GSYNC Setting the game to windowed/exclusive fullscreen/borderless mode. Different Windows display scalings. These two potential fixes from the other resolution bug. Forcing windowed mode and my resolution through launch commands. None of these have helped whatsoever. The game still attempts to launch at exclusive fullscreen + a very low resolution.Can’t export MP4 videos from replay editor. (PC)
Last week the game would crash when attempting to export MP4s, this week I get the 321 countdown which transitions directly into the pop up saying the video was saved to my local disk (after the count down the game never plays the clip during the export procedure) despite there being NO video saved in my local disk. MP4 files were exporting fine up until the 7 ply event update hit the game. webm files work normally, but they export at a very low resolution, as well as at about 75-80% speed. have reset graphics drivers, repaired game files, deleted/reinstalled game, and updated motherboard bios with NO luck. Have also tried exporting on an ROG Ally X but have the same issue. exporting clips is the main thing bringing me back to this game, please fix this asap.
[PC]Camera Framing Bug When Fast Traveling
It's been happening more this season than before. It doesn't happen every time I fast travel but when I do it changes my Camera Framing setting to low when I play with it on high. Settings -> Gameplay -> Camera -> Camera Framing. I have linked a youtube clip of me showing the setting and then fast traveling. The first spot I went the setting didn't change, but when I fast traveled again you can see it changes. Not a super big bug, but definitely annoying to have to change it back every once in a while. The trick detector that displays the joystick in real time is stuck on one trick. Random but relatively frequent crashes when I invite people have been happening for the past two or three weeks. My girlfriend is no longer visible in my friends list. I can only find her by searching for her username, and it says we're friends, but she's not in my list. This has been happening for about two weeks now. Matchmaking is absolutely essential; it's awful without it. Please!
