I tried to complete the Transition Skating 101 mission, in which there's an objective called "Complete the AR Program". One of the steps includes grabbing the board with L2 first, and then R2. L2 performs the board grab, but R2 doesn't do anything for me. I can't get past this mission. The button works fine for rolling without the board in the game, and also works fine for other games, so I'm pretty sure it's a bug in Skate. I play on PC, through the Epic Games app.

same i notice the game detects r2 but is not enough to grab the skate so i guess they place the input sensibility to low
playing on ps4 with dualshock 4 I can't do grab tricks too. the buttons are fine, my character crouches and cannonball off board.
I'm stuck on the Tour 2 mission, I'm told to do a Coffin Grab and I press L2+R2+X+🟥 but my character won't fall down on the board. Does anyone know how to fix this?
I have the same exact issue stuck on the same mission unable to progress. L2 works fine for grabs, R2 won’t grab but works in game for everything else (rolling, menus, map zoom etc) and works in every other game I own. Using DualShock4 on PS4.
Same here. You can probably get through the tutorial mission using a mouse and keyboard by just using the Alt and Ctrl keys for grabs. That's how I managed to complete it. However, you'll likely get stuck on some tricks later, like the coffin. I'm struggling with it myself on some missions right now. I hope EA fixes this issue soon.
i have the same problem, and it kinda solved, all i do is press the share button(?) and it somehow grab the board and successfully continue the mission. Im on epic using ps4 controller
if you have trigger stops u gotta take em off that’s why mine wasn’t working !!!
How hard is hard? I’m squeezing with all my might and it still isn’t working and I can’t progress past this mission..
