My game has been loading for 7 hours last night while I slept black screen, Skate. In the middle, with a skate board doing kick flips, I have done everything you've said you've done as well, I'm on steam too, and I haven't been in the game since RIGHT before the update, I was playing with 0 problems until I got kicked when they took the servers down before the update.
