Game Crashes Entire PCs
I am completely and totally not alone on this. I have been able to see that this is happening to any user who uses an Nvidia graphics card paired with an AMD CPU for the most part. I have an RTX 5080 with a 9700X. Literally just google “the new skate game crashes my entire computer” and see what you find. This game crashes my entire computer every single time I launch it. Not just kind of crashes it, it fully resets and restarts my entire computer.. I am not alone in this, and it has not been acknowledged not a single time during bug talks at all. This issue has been persisting for over six months now and has prevented me from completely and totally playing the game. Sometimes I get lucky and it doesn’t completely crash my system, but then on next launch the cycle continues. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game more times than I can count. I have verified the integrity of all the files more times than I can count. I have reinstalled windows on my computer in hopes that it would fix the issue, but it did not. I have completely and totally reinstalled every single driver on my system in order to try to fix the issue, but this is not a me issue. This is a you issue. Stuck on black screen upon launching game
This has been an issue since early beta access days…It seemed fixed for a bit, but lately it’s happening again. When I launch Skate from Steam, it gets stuck on an all black screen and it completely freezes my PC. I have to hard reset my PC just to get it working again. The “fix” is to open another application, then windows tab over when Skate is done launching. Please fix this, as this could be affecting many people’s PCs. It’s almost as if y’all don’t even read or check these forums or listen to any feedback whatsoever, it’s so baffling.
Settings reset everyday, double product boxes.
Skate Devs, Hey so whenever I relaunch the game in the morning none of my basic settings save and I have to redo my general, audio, and graphic settings over again. It's becoming kinda annoying redoing it although I am getting good at speed running switching them back. Also my product boxes. I had a bug where all my locations reset to 0 a few times, now I have double of each product box and some that are supposed to be LOCKED are appearing unlocked but wont let me buy them. I feel like my account is bugged. Whoever is making the Gullcrest community parks you are a BOSS and I demand this man get a raise. Also randomly crashing daily to a DirectX ERROR
Game crashing on load up
I’ve been playing skate for awhile now and I’ve recently came across this annoying bug where my game crashes my entire pc when launching the game, I know it’s not a hardware issue and im able to run other titles with no issues e.g battlefield 6, any suggestions for this issue please help. edit, on occasions I get a direct X error as my gpu is crashing when launching the game, I know this issue is also happening to one of my friends, I run a 2080ti and he has a 5080
Unable to launch game after Season 3 Update
After updating the game to Season 3 the game refuses to launch and will completely brick my computer, requiring a hard reset through the power button. The game will boot up, show the pre-start up "checking for updates" screen, boot in windowed mode, go full screen, and then completely brick my computer. My entire system will freeze, nothing on my second monitor will respond to anything I do, and even commands like ctrl+alt+del to open task manager will not work. Occasionally I will be able to hear the splash screen sound effects, but that's it. Yesterdays attempt after reinstalling the game resulted in the same thing, although this time it even turned my monitor from a black screen to a "no signal" screen before returning back to the black screen. I have tried: Verifying game files and reinstalling the game Updating GPU drivers and reinstalling GPU drivers Updating Windows and reinstalling Windows Running in Administrator Mode The game worked perfectly fine before the Season 3 update, and every other game on my system also works completely fine. System Specifications: CPU : Ryzen 9 5950x @ ~4,6GHz Cooler : ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II 240 MOBO : Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Dark Hero RAM : Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 64 GB @ 3600MHz Storage : Samsung 980 Pro 2 TB M.2 SSD GPU : GeForce RTX 4070ti (Asus ROG)
Infinite black screen
Yesterday me and a random were out exploring the isle of grom, my game bugged out (no issue there) restated the game and after being greeted with the NikeSB event pop up I am stuck in a black screen with what sounds like world ambient audio playing. I have no access to menus, options, anything at all. Just a pure black screen. (Xbox one btw) I've left it to time out, hard reset, cache and game deleting, reinstalling. I have not found a solution, any chance at all you know about this and have a fix?
2 MAJOR LAUNCH BUGS (PC)
These are two major bugs that have been around since launch and are the most tedious bugs to fight against in every single gaming session. I cannot stress enough how exhausting these bugs are to deal with. They both happen in every single use case since launch, no exceptions. Keyframe Position Bug: When using D-pad to select keyframes, the camera will move slightly in the direction of player momentum. This includes camera movement AND rotation shifting from original keyframe position. Movement WILL compound to where the camera has drifted far from original placement, ruining the shot. Fighting this CONSTANTLY FOR EVERY SINGLE KEYFRAME SELECTION during editing has become the biggest hurdle to enjoyment. Think about how long people spend editing and going back and forth between keyframes. Now add 5-10 seconds for each keyframe, just to get the camera back to where it ALREADY WAS SUPPOSED TO BE SAVED. I've given up on dozens of edits just from exhaustion and closed the game. Off-board Camera Default Pitch: Step by step description so the Devs know EXACTLY what I'm talking about. I've submitted this same bug report in every single post I've made since launch to no avail: Game world > Press Options/Start button (Shows player avatar) > Press Options again (pulls up "Settings menu") > Select "Settings" > select "Gameplay" > navigate to "Camera" > Scroll down to "Off-board Default Pitch" This setting is bugged. Upon login the setting will act as if it is set to 0. Checking the setting will show the pitch you selected, not 0. Toggling it from your number to another one and then back to you desired setting will fix this bug, BUT ONLY FOR THE SESSION. Once you log out and back in, you will have to fix this again. Every. Single. Time. I have seen other settings behave this way. The most recent occurrence was during the Season 3 launch, where major settings would be set back to default on every single login for most players. This has since been fixed of course, except for the Off-board Default Pitch setting. I know posting on this forum is a waste of time since no Devs will ever actually see these reports. I'll just keep screaming into the void and maybe one day EA will give me a job in QA or something, idk.Skate stuck in loading screen whith no fix.
I been having this problem for one week whit no fix. I have tried everything, restarting the game, unistalling it, fix the files in steam and the anticheat of EA and nothing works. I hope to get an answer soon because i buy the skate pass season 3 and i cant even play in it.
