Forced switch position
bug preventing the character from skating in their preferred stance is insane. I can’t be the only one experiencing this? Regular but even loading the game, only wants to ride goofy / switch for me. All settings are queued to regular. I’m very familiar (..nearly 20 years on Skate now) with sweeping the stick to revert or doing a quick 180 flip trick to get back into regular, but the footing never fixes itself here. It’s also just absurd that on game-load, the character isn’t inherently in their preferred stance… Why am I loading in on switch, crazy. This feels so juvenile to complain about but it’s been driving me crazy. I just want them to correct the footing issue and let me skate regular for goodness sake.skate. launches in exclusive fullscreen at wrong res before correcting itself
I tried reporting this many months back but my post was merged with someone else's unrelated thread about a somewhat similar issue, but not the same as what I'm experiencing. That other issue has since been fixed, this one has not. Almost every time I launch skate. it'll first try to launch in exclusive fullscreen mode at a small resolution for a few seconds, before then switching back to what I have set in-game (borderless windowed + 2560x1440). I deal with this bug 90% of the time when I launch the game, and I've been dealing with it since day one of the game's release. I'm not sure why sometimes it doesn't occur, I've found no rhyme or reason. Explanation of the bug and steps taken to reproduce it: Launch the game through Steam. The anti-cheat splash image appears. Once the anti-cheat finishes loading and disappears the game begins to open, except it shows as a black window in a small resolution for a few seconds. Then the game forcefully tries to switch to exclusive fullscreen at whatever tiny resolution it's using, shifting around my whole desktop and all other opened windows/programs. After about 2 seconds it switches back to the correct screen mode (like borderless) and resolution that I have selected in the game's settings. I recorded the bug so you can see what this looks like on my end, I had to record using my phone since OBS doesn't record it properly when the game switches resolutions: https://youtu.be/qlGQxSIvp6k Things I've already tried: Deleting the game's config files multiple times. Disabling GSYNC Setting the game to windowed/exclusive fullscreen/borderless mode. Different Windows display scalings. These two potential fixes from the other resolution bug. Forcing windowed mode and my resolution through launch commands. None of these have helped whatsoever. The game still attempts to launch at exclusive fullscreen + a very low resolution.Xbox one main menu error message
Since this new season has begun on Xbox one it constantly lags out at the menu and says “connection lost; you have been disconnected from the server”. This has made the game totally unplayable after taking my money for this seasons pass. Please fix this, issue has been consistent for a few weeks now.16Views0likes0CommentsSeason 4 Update - i7-2600 crashes at startup with Exception 0xC000001D
After updating to Season 4 (0.31.1), Skate no longer launches. System: CPU: Intel Core i7-2600 GPU: GTX 1660 Ti OS: Windows 10 22H2 (19045) Game installed on SSD Behavior: EA Anti-Cheat loads successfully. Game opens a fullscreen black window. Crashes immediately back to EA launcher. Troubleshooting performed: Uninstalled/Reinstalled Repaired/verified game files multiple times. Rebooted PC. Plenty of free SSD space available. Event Viewer: Faulting application: skate.exe Faulting module: skate.exe Exception code: 0xC000001D Additional information: Game worked prior to the June 2 / Season 4 update. Crash dumps are generated and both crashes occur at the same address, suggesting a deterministic startup crash.209Views4likes4CommentsError code 852146987
Still can’t get on the game after 5 days, this is beyond ridiculous I feel so angry because I’ve been playing since the playtest I’ve been very loyal and defended the hell out of this game but apparently that’s not important to you guys considering all your suggestions on a workaround or fix consists of us messing with our router settings and console setting and none of it works. I’ve seen so many people say that they’ve had the same issue 9 months ago and some people still can’t play. I’m begging you guys to please fix this problem.SKATE. Crashing entire PC on Launch
Devs, I have an AMD CPU (9800X3D) and an NVIDIA 5080, 64gb RAM, 2TB SSD. If I want to play SKATE. I must launch the game and then quickly open up a different program so it's in the foreground while SKATE. loads up in the background. If I mess this up and forget to open the secondary program sometimes the game just crashes and gives me a DirectX Error talking about how there was an improper command that tried to destroy my GPU or my GPU was physically removed from the system (It was not.) I wanted to make this clear here because I can see a PC Newbie trying SKATE, it crashing his entire computer and him being afraid to ever try to launch SKATE. ever again. It was scary the first few times because I thought I was locked out of the game. It first happend on Steam so I switched to EA App and thought I fixed it for good because the problem stopped for a long time. Right around Season 3 is when I started having issues launching the game again this 2nd time around. I have turned off XMP because someone online said something about a memory leak if you have XMP turned on. I also notice the game SKATE. doesn't automatically show up in the NVIDIA app and I had to manually add it, once I did it doesn't have any of the normal driver settings for the game like other games do, it's almost like it doesn't recognize it as a full game and isn't sure if the NVIDIA Control Panel settings will adhere to the game SKATE. Wondering if we could figure this one out because I would hate to see a future Pro San Van Skater just give up because of this. :) Love, boneyardx0 (#hippyjumpparkour, #griptapemafia)28Views0likes0Comments
