If you tap or hold B during a flip trick your character will go into a Darkcatch. Pressing B again doesn't get you out of it either, you have to use RB/R1.
I'm not sure why B is causing a Darkcatch, it's not mentioned in the controls as an alternate way to do one, and I certainly don't want it to do that because it gets in the way of prepping a grab after a flip trick.
