Ideas
I had to change my character around for the new update, it took me maybe 15 minutes of making sure all the things were how I wanted them, and now it's not that big a deal. The characters objectively look better and just a couple minutes of tinkering will resolve it.
I can't see any attached images either - maybe if we can see what your character looks like we can better understand what your issue is.
The images were not attached.
Each player’s character is unique, and for those whose appearance did not change much after the update, or for those who do not care about visuals, who do not fine-tune their character, or who only want to ride a board, this issue may seem insignificant.
For players who crafted their character carefully and relied on that appearance for immersion, this is a major problem.
There is no solution, not even a workaround.
There is nothing here to debate.

My character's appearance changed significantly. My character actually looks way more realistic and honestly way more attractive than how I look in real life, that was my takeaway from it lol. My immersion isn't ruined, that's just how Skate thinks that I would look if I was in the Skate universe - immersion preserved.
I'm not sure what fine-tuning you're referring to, there's no sliders, all the face customisation is made of pre-existing features. I get you put work into how your character looks, but mate - all of us did. Your situation is not special, and this is definitely not a bug.

There is nothing wrong with the tanned male character you created.
I’m simply envious.
If I had made a male character, I would never have written a post like this.
You’re missing the point.
I never once called it a bug.
It’s nothing more than a “technical issue” I can’t understand.
I have nothing more to say.- Awicb27 days agoSeasoned Rookie
It's not a technical issue, this is an intentional change to the game with no reported technical flaws in it's implementation.
I know exactly what you're saying, the issue is that you haven't shown what the problem is, we have no idea the degree of how much your character has changed, if there is something actually technically wrong, you must actually show what that looks like. If you constantly take pictures of what your character used to look like, then you just have to take a photo of what they look like now and you've got the same before and after that I just posted.
