Slow-Motion MEGA THREAD

I'm getting around 60-80 fps in the game, but eveything looks and feels in slow motion especially my charachter. Game is stuck in 30 fps with low graphics, in that setting I don’t feel no heaviness. When I turn up the graphics to high, the fps also gets higher but the game becomes heavy and feels literally like in slow motion. This issue gets fixed most of the time when I enter challenges but after players spawn again issue occurs.

_____________

Updated the title to make this a Mega Thread. Set status to investigating.

We are investigating these reports, but need some more details.
If you can, please attach video of the slow-motion issue in your comments.
We also need the following:

  • DxDiag or system specs (you can attach a DXDiag to your post)
  • User name (and let us know if that's EA ID, Steam, or Epic)
  • Region
  • Where in the city you noticed it start.

Thanks.

  • My game slows down significantly, making it feel like it's in slow motion or that the latency is extremely high, even though my FPS counter shows normal frame rates. This issue occurs after I've been on the server for a random amount of time. I've tried toggling various social settings, thinking it might be related to the number of players on the server at once, but that hasn’t made a difference. Nothing seems to help, and I eventually have to close the game and try again later.

I'm experiencing gameplay in slow motion, especially in high-density areas with a ton of players. The framerate is fine; I have a 1920x1080 144hz monitor and it reaches around 80-90 fps average. I have a clip that shows the slowdown. It disappears when I enter a challenge, or when there are no players nearby.

I do notice my CPU sits around 95% usage and sometimes hits 100%, where the game takes about 85% of that. Doesn't seem to correlate with the lag though.

    My specs are:

    • AMD Ryzen 5 5600G

    • NVIDIA 3060 Ti

    • 16GB RAM

If requested, I can drop my dxdiag.

  • This bug was submitted several times before, but the old posts were closed with no comment. The latest patch mitigated it slightly but did not completely solve the problem. I believe it is dependent on specific hardware types.

If you're having this problem, I suggest posting your hardware specs, or attaching dxdiag.exe output.
