Multi-player works like **bleep**
So idk why but everytime i try to game together w a friend, we cant. Playing solo, game works fairly well. But when we try to do multi-player, first off it takes ages til we load into eachother s servers, but even when we re loaded, we can't see eachothers characters in game yet. We still have to wait more for that. And eventually when we are ready to skate a challenge together, we get stuck waiting for it to start, or one of us is in the challenge while the other is in a state of limbo between the open-world and challenge world, like the challenge started but the assets just didnt load in. Idk its very frustrating, because multi-player is kinda the only reason we play, and when we somehow get to the idea to play skate together, it takes eons for it to load and we run into all these issues and we and up restarting the game at least 5 times per seshion and eventually we dont even skate one challenge together. I want to make content for Skate. But i cant get smooth videos because every-time i do a line and go back to replay editor there are 2-3 frame drops in the clip. Stop adding new things to the game until the game is smooth out of bugs please! We do not need new content at this moment we need bug fixes and technical issues flushed out first. I've been playing Skate (Early Access) on PC with a friend of mine and we noticed there is a latency/sync issue while attempting to do vert doubles. My screen shows us going up and down the halfpipe at the same time but on his screen one of us will be way ahead of behind the other. So much so that sometimes we'll be on opposite sides of the halfpipe on his screen but on the same side on my screen. I'll get video of this and add it to this post as soon as I get it. I should also mention that we are in the same room and have very similar laptops. I'm getting around 60-80 fps in the game, but eveything looks and feels in slow motion especially my charachter. Game is stuck in 30 fps with low graphics, in that setting I don’t feel no heaviness. When I turn up the graphics to high, the fps also gets higher but the game becomes heavy and feels literally like in slow motion. This issue gets fixed most of the time when I enter challenges but after players spawn again issue occurs. _____________ Updated the title to make this a Mega Thread. Set status to investigating. I understand that this is a soulless cash grab of a game, only to prey on the nostalgia of OG players, as well as adhere to the Fortnite kids, but the game is BROKEN. How do you make an online only game where the MULTIPLAYER IS FOUNDATIONALLY BROKEN?!? Can you possible explain it to me, EA. I'd love to know.Where to begin?!
Even this page is buggy and got to many mistakes wtf ? Ok so the game needs to go back to development. The bugs in graphics are many and awful, we get game judder even when there’s nobody in the lobby makes it unplayable. the sound cuts out either just ground sound or all board related noises just go. in the menus it gets stuck you can’t see the map properly it’s not named and labeld well at all. the loot screens keep repeating after ever box you open you see what you got and then see it all again and if your lucky the game will still be working. that stupid ai gets stuck the main missions and tutorial get stuck and won’t progress. the controls never feel the same so there’s no learning curve it’s either as easy as Tony hawk or impossible because of all the bugs. Don’t give me no **bleep** about early access you screwed the pooch when you opened the store and started season 1. It’s out and it shouldn’t be it’s no where near ready. Technically it’s a giant **bleep** and there is so much more wrong with the fundamentals and gamplay comunity Parks are awful unskatable mostly it’s all out of proportion no actual sense to anything gaps are to big on some runoff to short ramps n rails where you can’t skate them or they get in the way ruins challenges ruins gamplay most of the world is sterile and unskateable in all honesty You need skaters and you need to listen to them. The layouts are awful the community parks are unusable on bord speed and turning need to be adjustable by players as right now they’re either to slow and unresponsive can’t make simple gaps or it’s lightning fast and puts you into a wall. camera while playing on or off board is clunky and changing the settings just makes the extremes worse. This game will die a death before it’s 12 months old because it won’t keep the fortnight **bleep** your targeting amused enough nothing ever does and skaters will just go play session. I honestly didn’t care about the dumb cartoon world and cartoon characters I love the addition of the free running and climbing although it should be expanded. Even the hud is bugged mega ramps you can’t land on even with the most Arcady settings This isn’t gaming culture and it’s not skate culture it’s money making let’s just use AI culture and it’s sad and frustrating. Replay Exports technically dont stutter (the skater) anymore, but they now "jitter" - because the "Fix" seems to remove frames (or not capture frames) where the skater is frozen.. This means the skater technically doesnt stutter now but the cameras do if youre using a moving freecam method during export process -- Which probably isn't the way you're suppose use freecam but it does make FAR better looking clips if you use it that way. Anyway because the camera is moving when the export system "deletes" or "skips" frozen skater frames in the final export, it results in jumps where the camera seems to "teleport" -- the teleporting isn't a bug, its just that the export system skipped the frames where the camera moved to that position because the skater was frozen This is all surely because I use a PC that runs similar to a ps4 (i7 4790 CPU, 1650 Super GPU, 16Gb Ram), but can there possibly be alternative fixes that don't have skater stutter or camera jitter? This game runs smoothly in real time gameplay, but in replay mode, suddenly the skater is stuck at certain points (landings, pops and sometimes rarely just mid grind or cruise), but when you rewind and go very slow at those points of stutter (they are always at the same spots) the full animation can play without hitching. I would want the export system to somehow determine where those things happen and maybe just run at a very very slow static speed (non changing slow speed) while exporting -- because the current system is adaptive and will run as slow as needed to reach fps target, which is nice feature honestly but maybe running the game even slower at a static speed would help with smoothness overall A setting to set export speed to ultra slow 0.10x speed that results in a smooth 1x speed video file would atleast solve the issue until something more solid can fix it in real-time replay mode (I attached files that show the raw exports that include the game camera exploding randomly annoyingly)PS4 Version Unplayable (Input lag/extremely low FPS)
I've been playing on a PS4 the past few days while I stay with family and this version of the game is literally unplayable. There is what seems to be almost a full second of input lag mixed with terribly low and inconsistent framerates that ebbs between 20-30fps (30 if I'm lucky, its usually closer to 20). I was excited to login and play in the living room after my family went to sleep since I'm away from my PC, but this has severely disappointed me and made me a little mad, frankly. I looked it up here and other places to see if others had the same issue and noticed that it is widespread and only started with the season 1 update, and hasn't been addressed at all, which is incredibly frustrating and a bad look because I'm sure theres still a decent portion of the fanbase stuck on the last gen consoles. My question is, why release it for last gen consoles if you can't manage to make it playable? I hope for a response from someone on the team because this abysmal and shouldn't be ignored or tolerated by the development team.18Views0likes4Comments
