Softlock Megathread [Last Updated: 09/03/2026]

Hello, fellow skaters!

We continue to see reports of players getting soflocked at various points.

The old thread has more than 9005 comments, and sometimes it is difficult for the team to organise and spot new issues within all the reports. That's why we have decided to open a new megathread to work on the most recent softlock issues.

If you are softlocked, please provide the following information:

  • Platform
  • Mission/Challenge?
  • If Mission, what step in the Mission?
  • Can you describe how you got stuck and provide some screenshots?
  • Username you're playing with (Gamertag, PSN ID, or EA ID - no emails.  We'll assume it's the account you're posting with as well.)

Please be as thorough as you can when sharing your information, as this will help the team investigate and help unstuck other players in the future.

Also, in order to keep you informed, we will update this thread every week with the number of players we have unlocked. We will include a description of the issue we worked on. If you have been unlocked, please let us know. If you haven't been unlocked, please bear with us, we are working on it.

  • Level 1 Hedgemont Product Box appears locked:

  • Stuck in "Transition Skating 101" mission:

  • Players completed enough goals but didn't unlock Gullcrest Village:

    I "completed" Finer Grind mission, but it doesn't appear as so, therefore I cannot progress on the missions. Also there's no visible way to replay Finer Grind. Basically I'm softlocked. Please help.

    Missions not available after the Trash collection Mission.
    Completed the "Wheeler Special: Shut It Down", softlock after that.
    Says I need to complete "Finer Grind". 
    Nothing showing up ingame.

    Platform: PlayStation 5

    Mission/Challenge?: Mission - Finer Grind (German: Noch feinerer Grind)

    If Mission, what step in the Mission?: Mission completed successfully but progression did not update

    Description / How I got stuck:

    I completed the mission Finer Grind successfully and received the completion confirmation. However all following missions remain locked with the message that I must complete Finer Grind first.

    The mission cannot be replayed and no new mission markers appear.

    I'm playing on PS5, just finished the "Ripping for Rewards" mission and it is not counting as completed to let me move on to the Stunting 101 Tour. I've tried a few fixes that I've found posted on forums but nothing is working for me. Even cleared saved data and reinstalled with no luck

    as many others, i completed “finer grind” but i  am soft locked and cannot progress the story further. there is no visible way to go back and retry the mission. i have linked my ea account to my steam account but i launch it through steam, username is barkatthemoon22, playing on PC, loving the game so far and would love to enjoy it further.. thanks

    • If Mission, what step in the Mission?   - I've completed the mission, but i'm unable to progress to other missions.
    • Can you describe how you got stuck and provide some screenshots? - I finished the mission and Vee gave me a voiceline saying something I don't remember. When checking requirements to unlock missions further, it says to complete Finer Grind, which i already did.
